Worldwide website management from out of Rotterdam
Due to an increase in complexity, coupled to a need for professionalism and uniformity, Adobe Systems Inc. has chosen to have all its websites managed from a single location.
Digital producer
The head office of Adobe Systems Inc. is located in San Jose, California. Founded in 1982, Adobe is a producer of software for digital imaging and design, and document technology for consumers, creative professionals and businesses. Whether it is a magazine, a webpage, a video or a feature film, one or more Adobe products are used for the design and layout of almost all types of media.
From a single environment
Since the emergence of the Internet in the 1990s, websites for Adobe Systems Inc. have gradually become the most important means of marketing and communication. As well, Adobe Systems Inc. has more than 24 websites worldwide, which sell Adobe products and inform clients about new products and events, such as seminars. They also have websites in several languages, which consist of thousands of pages that contain greatly detailed information. The support and management of these websites is still done at a decentralised level. Due to an increasing need for professionalism and uniformity, Adobe Systems Inc. chose at the end of the 1990s to manage all of its websites using a single system. Looking for a partner who could support the operational realisation of this centralisation objective, Adobe Systems Inc. called upon an old friend: 2organize.
Independent changes
The collaboration between Adobe Systems Inc. and 2organize dates back to 1994. In their first years of collaboration 2organize handled the European Adobe magazine. After the switch to Internet as the most important means of marketing and communication, 2organize first only managed the European websites. For a number of years 2organize has also been managing 20 of the 24 worldwide Adobe websites.
All website product information is first inputted by Adobe into a main Content Management System. Then 2organize produces the content for the worldwide websites based on these changes. 2organize functions as a ‘go between’ for Adobe national offices, translation agencies and business partners. Simple content changes can be made by the Adobe national offices independently with the help of software developed by 2organize.
Over the years 2organize has built a large number of web applications for Adobe Systems Inc. such as:
- Events Manager: with this application, a local marketing manager can easily make a separate web page for things such as a masterclass. The tool generates the web page complete with registration form and an automatic e-mail confirmation message.
- Project Management Tool: this tool makes it possible for Adobe employees and other parties involved to glance at a worldwide overview of the status of a project as well as being able to make changes.
- Eurostore: an e-commerce application that is aimed at resellers of Adobe Systems Inc. in 16 countries.
- E-mail-marketing engine: an application that ensures that tens of thousands of Adobe clients in eight language regions receive e-mail news about products, special offers, orders and activities every week. The final goal is to sell more through the Internet.
- Extranet: aimed at the European Adobe dealers who can find all the information they need to better help their clients.
Long-term relationship Adobe Systems Inc. was looking for a reliable partner for the entire management of its worldwide websites, a party with the technical knowledge, security level, flexibility and international orientation needed to be able to guarantee the high quality level Adobe requires. Given the long-term relationship between Adobe Systems Inc. and 2organize we are proud to say that this partner is still in Rotterdam.
